In the summer of 2017, after many years of graphic design experience, Connie Beecher ventured out on her own as a freelance artist. Currently, Connie works for Wayne Presbyterian Church as their Communications | Connections Leader, is a board member and Women’s Ministry leader for the non profit organization, Touching Lives Ministry and also freelances graphic design and illustration.
Having worked as an in-house illustrator, graphic designer and eventually an art director for the Advertising firm, DePersico Creative, Connie developed a broad knowledge of the advertising world over the course of many years. She created art for various collectable companies, developed designs and illustrations for a wedding company, and even ventured into the world of textiles and wallpaper design.
Later, Connie expanded into church communications with Calvary Chapel of Delaware County. She began leading their Arts Team as a volunteer, grew into creating the majority of their graphics and was eventually hired full time. She worked with them for 17 years. The experience she gained in that role provided her with a strong understanding of a church’s communication needs. Connie was then able to assist other churches, as a freelancer after that, until she began working for Wayne Presbyterian Church, in the fall of 2018.
For close to the last 10 years, Connie has been a volunteer board member of the medical mission organization, Touching Lives Ministry. She accepted the role of Women’s Ministry Leader while also assisting with graphic design when needed. She is currently developing devotional, Bible studies for women through a series called, My Garden, My Life. ©2019conniebeecher
Connie also developed Old Pine Trading Company, her own small, cottage industry that encompasses all her handmade crafts, canvas prints, and fine art. Many of those creations are now being used as a means of fund raising for women in need.
Connie freelances for GRAMMY Award winning musicians and enjoys designing their CD packages, App Icons, Posters, Ads, T-Shirts, and more. She works closely with her husband, Mark, on those projects. If you would like to hire Connie and Mark to create your CD package design, please contact Mark at firstname.lastname@example.org.
